Canberra’s Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular promises to provide a fitting finale to the capital’s action-packed program of national day celebrations.

Australia Day in the Park kicks off at 7.30am on Sunday 26 January with the Great Aussie Day Breakfast, proudly sponsored by ActewAGL, the Fyshwick Fresh Fruit Markets and Canberra Milk.

Later in the day families can enjoy the fantastic Children’s Concert featuring Dora’s Dance Party.

Local duo The Bridge Between will also keep crowds entertained at Stage 88 and kids can enjoy rides, amusements and games, make something crafty or have the Australian flag painted on their face.

As yet another Australia Day draws to a close, grab a picnic and head down to Lake Burley Griffin for the Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular. The best vantage points to view the fireworks are at Regatta Point and the lawns of the National Library of Australia – but be sure to get there early to secure your spot.

The evening’s entertainment will kick off at 6:30pm with boating demonstrations on Lake Burley Griffin and an aviation display by the Australian Defence Force.
A finale of dazzling fireworks will light up the sky above the lake and its surrounding icons as Canberra’s Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular concludes the day’s celebrations.

The Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular is proudly presented by the ACT Government and the National Australia Day Council.
