With Floriade festivities well under way and Floriade NightFest set to kick off tonight, the Floraide Rotary Gnomes have returned this year to join the party.
The Floriade Rotary Gnomes on Gnome Knoll are a favourite with the thousands of visitors to Floriade each year.
Gnome lovers will be inspired by this year’s Floriade theme of Films that shaped our nation, and it is expected that countless Australian films and actors will be on show at the new and improved Gnome Knoll this year.
The 2008 Gnomes Competition is organised by the Rotary Club of Canberra East.
Organisations can benefit from having an engaging profile at Floriade by displaying a Corporate Gnome at the Floriade Gnome Knoll to hundreds of thousands of Floriade visitors from 13 September to 12 October 2008.
For a stronger presence on Gnome Knoll, organisations can purchase more than one Corporate Gnome and display them in a group.
Corporate Gnomes cost $250 each and can be purchased from the Rotary Club of Canberra East. All profits from the sale of Corporate Gnomes goes to the Rotary Club of Canberra East to be used for community projects.
Certificates and prizes will be awarded to category winners in a prize ceremony at Gnome Knoll at 2.00pm on Sunday 12 October.
