Co-owners Chris and Johnny have been busy bringing the restaurant out of the 80’s with modern lighting, a new paint-job and carpeting in addition to some exciting new changes to the menu.
“We wanted to freshen up the restaurant for its 21st birthday,” Chris said. “To take it from the 80’s to now without making any drastic changes.”
Well known for its top quality grain fed steaks, fresh seafood and many more mouth watering dishes including veal, chicken and pasta dishes, the new meals on offer at El Dorado’s have not replaced old favourites such as the Chicken Whisky and Fillet Mignon.
“We’ve made sure we kept a lot of the favourites,” Johnny said. “But we’re making it more modern with meals like the new Panko Porter steak with crumbed calamari and hollandaise sauce.”
And don’t worry, the infamous one kilogram ‘Big Eldo’ steak is still on offer if you’re looking for a challenge. Eat it all and get your name on the ‘Big Eldo’ wall of fame!
With no hidden hire charges and a backroom that can cater for private functions of up to 100 people, El Dorado’s can help you celebrate any occasion. It has a real party atmosphere, especially on Saturdays.
“90% of our Saturdays are booked out,” he said. “It’s just a party atmosphere here; we cater for birthdays, buck’s nights and hen’s nights – anything really.”
