Ping-pong playing fivesome, Operator Please have returned from a mammoth European tour to hit the road again, this time for the Aussies.
It’s all ‘on like Donkey Kong’ to promote the release of the third single ‘Yes Yes Vindictive’ from their debut album.
With 9 Aussie shows set, Canberra is well and truly on the map with Operator Please taking to the ANU Bar in a fun-time gig with special guests Little Red.
The Gold Coast teenagers started gigging in highschool, when vocalist/guitarist Amandah Wilkinson went on a hunt for band mates to fill numbers for a band competition.
“I picked people at random who I knew played an instrument, and they just said yes,” Wilkinson said. “We rehearsed at lunch times in the practice room.”
Operator Please won the band competition’s first prize and after years of self promotion and hard yakka, went onto snag a quick signing to Virgin/EMI and Brille label in the UK.
