Friction Event Management has just announced the launch of its brand new weekly club event, Back Alley Disco, at Academy Club.
The Friction team promises a wild ride, with secrecy and hype surrounding what the new club night will actually entail.
“You won’t enter in the same door, you won’t listen to the same sound, the walls won’t look the same, the experience won’t be the same and you won’t be in the same club,” Jeff Drake, Friction Event Management said.
The themed night, which will be launching in conjunction with Academy Club’s new refurbishments, is set to have Academy lovers in a tizz, with the secrecy heightening anticipation amongst a new, curious crowd.
“The Candy Bar is getting a full referb. Down stairs there will be new lounge areas, new lighting and a whole new main feature, which I can’t say too much about,” Frank said, part owner of Academy Club.
With the total cost of the facelift expected to sit around the half a million mark, plan to fall in love with Academy Club all over again.
“My favourite part of the whole refurbishment is the new VIP area. It will be hidden in one of the corners so it’s very private and intimate, one of those little nooks in the corner that’s going to look really good.”
A star line-up of DJs will be featured on the Friday of every week at Back Alley Disco, including; The Aston Shuffle, Jeff Drake, Chris Fraser, Steve Lind, Karton, Tim Galvin, Ashley Feraude, Mikah Freeman & Saad.
B.A.D. is launching on Friday 15 Feb with very special guest Sinden (UK).
