LOW FREQZ aims to showcase quality electronic music from around the globe to open-minded Canberra audiences, with a strong emphasis on bass and beats. The night will pioneer both new and classic music from a number of sub-bass oriented genres, including (but not strictly limited to) Dubstep, Grime, UK Funky, Future Garage, D’n’B, Hip-Hop, IDM, Glitch as well some proper wonky beats.

Low Freqz aims to keep it interesting, keep the sounds and styles moving and be versatile in order keep the punters both interested and guessing.

Delivering the music will be resident DJs both experienced and fresh — D’OPUS, JEMIST, FAUX REAL and CED NADA (aka Roshambo).

For the first evening, they’ve invited Canberra veteran ESCHA to share some deep drum n’ bass grooves.

Thanks to our friends at Stomp we are also proud be hosting the official Canberra launch of the brand new album ‘Split The Atom’ from Dutch bass masters NOISIA. We’ll be featuring tunes from the album on the night and also giving away a few copies of ‘Split The Atom’ to lucky attendees.

To get you in the mood and for a taste of the sorts of sounds and styles you’ll hear at Low Freqz, our residents have compiled mixes for your download and listening pleasure:
