Smouldering and very ‘Posen,’ Zac Posen’s latest Fall runway collection showed a bevy of chic 70’s tailoring with a modern, ‘smoky’ edge.

The modern was in the detail and this extended to his doe eyed girls, donning dark, smoky eyes as their main beauty trick.

Try this look at home with black, greys, browns and metallics. You’ll need a liquid eye-liner pen and matching kohl pencil for smudging.

1. Apply a cream concealer over your entire eyelid to create a smooth base and increase stay power.

2. Use a liquid eyeliner pen to draw a thin line over your lashes, finishing in a wing.

3. Continue to line under your eye, following the contours.

4. Repeat with a kohl pencil. Use a light, sweeping motions to apply and a soft brush to gently smudge as you go.

5. For super smoke, repeat with matching eye shadow (and a steady hand). Skip this step if you’re after a ‘sharper’ look.

6. Dust a lighter, neutral eye shadow (such as ivory) over just your brow bone to give your look depth.

7. Finish with two coats of black mascara.
