Brother and sister duo Angus & Julia Stone won hearts with their debut album ‘A Book Like This’ and now they’re skipping back to Canberra as part of their new album tour, ‘And the Boys.’

Traveling has been an integral part of the Stone’s musical story so it’s not surprising they opted to record their new album ‘Down The Way’ in a number of diverse locations around the globe.

“The songs have been written all over the place. Stormy corners of backstage rooms, and rusty windows of old hotels in sleepy towns,” Julia said.

‘Down The Way’ marks their debut as producers, taking full control of their sound without losing the spirit of what made the first record so special. There has been a subtle shift of gear, represented by a growing confidence in their abilities as artists and the music follows suit as it flows easily through sparse and rich textured arrangements without losing any of its etherealness and charm.

Once again the brother and sister duo share the song writing duties on ‘Down The Way’, their individual styles compliment each other and juxtapose beautifully as they express their alternate views of lost love and yearning. This is shown especially well in the epic and rich tapestry of “Hold On” and the albums first single “And The Boys” which was co-produced by Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright).

‘Down The Way’ is thirteen lovingly crafted songs reflecting a myriad of emotions and another graceful step on a remarkable musical journey for Angus & Julia Stone.

Angus & Julia Stone’s ‘Down The Way’ is set for release March 12, 2010.
