Fresh off the back of his sold out Clockwork Album Launch Tour, Phrase announces his 2010 National Tour. Phrase & his band will be smashing his way through the festival circuit with performances at Pyramid Rock, Hot BBQ, Big Day Out (East Coast Only) & Kiss My Grass along with a small handful of selected venues throughout Australia and to round up these dates Phrase will be joining Lupe Fiasco on his national tour in February.

It has been an amazing year for Melbourne’s new prince of hip-hop Phrase – After wrestling with his record label for over a year he finally released Clockwork on April 24th to critical acclaim with the Aria nominated album being triple j’s feature album of the week and the album’s title track later becoming the #1 most played track on triple j for 3 weeks in a row!

Since the album’s release Phrase has been touring non-stop and has performed at almost every major festival in the country, his recent performance at Homebake was clearly one of the stand-out shows of the day, solidifying his position as one of the #1 live acts in the country.

Arguably crafting the countries boldest Hip-Hop release to date, Phrase’s Clockwork has smashed genres and brought “rap” as an art form closer to the fraternity of Australia ’s rock-driven industry.

Phrase never ceases to amaze when it comes to a collaboration. Opting to avoid the cliché concept of “I’m going to do a track with every rapper I know”, Phrase has consistently broken the mold through his collaborations with artists such as Kram (Spiderbait), Wendy Matthews, Ian Kenny (Karnivool/Birds of Tokyo) & Jackson Jackson.

Phrase is more than just a lyricist. He is a musician. And his live show reflects that.
