Hartley Lifecare are hosting their annual High Tea and fashion parade to raise funds for the very special One Million Harts campaign, supporting the redevelopment of Hartley Court.
On 18 July from 2-5pm at Albert Hall, join them for an afternoon of high tea and fashion while dressed in this year’s ‘Posh Op Shop’ theme, supported by The Green Shed.
The fashion parade will see clients take centre stage alongside Victoria Models and music from DJ Mista Nige. For best dressed there will be an elegant designer headpiece by Christine Waring up for grabs and additional prizes awarded for the best dressed table…so get looking for the classiest op shop finds. Raffle tickets will also be on sale with the winners walking away with 4 tickets to the Quodos Bank Arena Corporate Suite for the Bat Out of Hell Musical Tour in Sydney. And food is all sorted with a delicious assortment of sweet and savoury finger foods and a complimentary drink on arrival.
The One Million Harts campaign launched this March and is aiming to raise one million dollars for the redevelopment of Hartley Court, one the longest standing supported independent living communities in Canberra.
“The Hartley High Tea and Fashion Parade was fast becoming one of Canberra’s annual feel-good events before COVID-19 emerged last year. It is important we aim to reinvigorate that momentum through this year’s event with the help and support of the local Canberra Community,” says Senior Manager-Finance & Communications, Corey Ryan.
Hartley High Tea is just one of the events on the Hartley calendar throughout the next 12 months in support of the campaign. Next up is the Hartley Cycle Challenge celebrating its 21st year and the Hartley Kokoda Trek, a 9-day adventure across the famous Kokoda Trail scheduled for March 2022. And of course, we can’t forget the amazing Hartley Hall Markets which are held on the first Sunday of every month from 10am to 3pm out at the Hall Showgrounds.
Don’t forget that even if you can’t attend any of Hartley’s events you can still be ‘one in a million’ by purchasing a Hart for Hartley, or by making a donation to give people living with a disability the opportunity to live their best life.
