The team behind East Row Specialty Coffee in the city are bringing top-notch coffee and exceptional café eats to the Belconnen Mall with their newest venue – Forrest Specialty Coffee. Far from your typical mall café, Forrest serves up the finest ONA Coffee, along with a food menu that is sure to create competition for the best cafés in the area.
“We always felt like Belconnen needed a finer dining brunch spot and that’s exactly what we hope to bring with Forrest,” says Head Chef, Yokas Wu.
As the name suggests, Forrest or ‘for rest’, is the place to rest amongst the hustle and bustle of the centre in a warm and cosy area.
“Forrest offers people a place to have a break, while enjoying great food and coffee. But the beauty is that they’re also in the most convenient location to run errands, go shopping, head to the gym, or entertain the kids,” says Wu.
Much like East Row, the menu is designed around sophisticated cooking techniques used in inventive ways – that most importantly look as good as it tastes. Think waffles with chocolate anglaise, caramelised banana, caramel popcorn and ice cream, and mushroom benedict with Three Mills Rye English muffin topped with mixed exotic mushrooms, double brie cheese, hollandaise and paprika dukkah.
And vegetarians and vegans are sorted with dishes like vegan meatballs served with Napoli roasted cashews, pickled cucumber, onion salsa and corn chips.
