Returning for a third season, Armada Bar at The Boat House is back, with an even bigger marquee featuring more enclosure, and a brand-new look.
After their recent win as Restaurant of the Year in Canberra at the Restaurant and Catering Awards, the team has put together a new bar menu featuring re-imagined cocktails and an elevated selection of food.
“I think the big difference with Armada Bar is the quality of our food and drinks. It’s casual eats beyond the ‘fried with chips’ variety – although you can still grab your fried fix if you want it! – with East 33 South Coast oysters shucked fresh to order, and a wide range of options for both herbivores and carnivores,” says General Manager, James Souter.
The food menu consists of small and share-style plates, including kingfish sashimi, cheeseburger spring rolls, pork katsu sando, crumbed eggplant bao, popcorn cauliflower and a homemade mini magnum. While for drinks, you can expect six summery concoctions including ‘The Bachelorette’ with Aperol, Tanqueray Gin, grapefruit tonic and rose Prosecco, and ‘Mata Hari’ with vanilla infused Tanqueray Gin, passionfruit, lime and soda, along with a handpicked selection of wine, beer and spirits.
Battling another year of La Niña, the lakeside outdoor bar has been built to withstand any condition, allowing you to enjoy the space no matter what the unpredictable summer season brings. Also encouraging long lunches and relaxed afternoon drinks, tables can be reserved for those who want to stay beyond the standard 2-hour sitting.
Bookings are now available from 4pm on Friday and 11:30am on Saturday and Sunday, with walk-ins also encouraged. https://theboathouse.restaurant/armada/
