Offering a unique region for creating spirits, Canberra has several distilleries specialising in everything from gin and vodka to schnapps and whisky. Available in most bottle shops, local events and at cellar doors, whether you’re looking for something to do, want to explore more of Canberra’s local producers or are looking for a new favourite spirit, these are the distilleries located in our wonderful city.

Underground Spirits

Known for their vodka and gin range, Underground Spirits is Canberra’s most award-winning spirit brand, sourcing local, high-quality ingredients and pure spring water from the Snowy Mountains. Putting the best of Canberra into every bottle, while known for their signature vodka and gin, the distillery also collaborates with brands such as the Canberra Raiders, POP Canberra and Pialligo Estate to create unique flavoured spirits. The Canberra Distillery

Handcrafting fine spirits from only essential, raw ingredients, The Canberra Distillery creates a range of gin, rum, schnapps and vodka. With a passion for local flavours and stories, taste the consideration in each bottle from the winter gin, vodka, summer gin, butterscotch schnapps and Old George Reserve Whisky. You can also enjoy a complimentary tasting by joining them at their cellar door in Mitchell.

Big River Distilling Co

Artisan distillery, Big River Distilling Co. creates spirits that reflect the unique Canberra environs, from uncompromising quality ingredients from Australia and afar. Specialising in gin, shop their dry, cinnamon, mandarin and pink gin, as well as vodka and a fig gin liqueur. Learn and taste the magic of the distillery with a guided tour and tasting at their cellar door, or enjoy a relaxing afternoon sampling their spirit range with a tasting paddle and grazing board.

Ambrosia Distillery

Proving that high-quality spirits don’t need to have the ridiculous price tag, Canberra’s Ambrosia Distillery products have been created with the intention of being the star of your exciting bespoke cocktail, mixed drinks or fun shot. Flavours range from coffee, apple & cinnamon, lychee, lemon myrtle and toffee vodka, as well as a delicious gin.

The Antipodes Gin Company
