Frequent diners of Braddon Merchant will know, as the seasons change, so too does their menu. Introducing heartier, warming dishes that reflect a comforting dinner during these cold Canberra months, we tried the Braddon Merchant Experience chef’s selection to get a true tasting of what the restaurant is all about.

Positioned in the heart of Braddon, the effortless sophisticated nature of the menu is paired with a bright and modern space, perfect for weeknight through to weekend dinners.

The chef’s selection of shared-style dishes will vary throughout winter, adapting to the seasonal availability of local produce. This will see no two experiences the same, with the chef mixing up the menu items and weekend specials included.

Some of the dishes that will often feature include an elegant cured king salmon with horseradish crème fraiche and ponzu dressing, Boxgum Grazing pork belly with saffron turnip, and Boxgum Grazing lamb cutlets with pumpkin puree.

Always finishing on a sweet note, end the evening indulging in desserts like fennel ice cream with white chocolate and fennel chard, or chocolate mousse with macadamia crumb and coconut flakes.

To accompany these dishes, there is the option of wine pairing, or the choice is yours with 150+ local and international labels found on their award-winning wine list or a cocktail from their neighbouring bar, Midnight Bar.

A thoughtful menu of fresh Modern Australian dishes that aren’t overly complicated or complex, the high-quality flavours of the key ingredients are able to stand strong and be enjoyed simply as they are.

Braddon Merchant is open for dinner from Tuesday – Saturday, 5pm-late. To make a booking, visit https://www.braddonmerchant.com.au/
