After swiftly selling out to Canberra whisky lovers in 2022, the Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer bus is travelling to the ACT, stopping off at our own whisky bar, Molly, once again.
The iconic 1972 double-decker bus will take over Odgers Lane from 29 August to 24 September with intimate tastings, delectable food pairings and chats about all things whisky.
Converting what was once a typical Leyland bus into a mobile whisky experience on wheels, the bus includes a full-service bar, lounge area and seated tasting and dining facilities under a raised roof.
Ideal for whisky enthusiasts old and new, exclusive tastings, regular tables and private functions are all available to book online from 4pm, with walk-in spots also available.
Arriving just in time for Father’s Day, there will even be the opportunity to treat Dad to the ultimate masterclass. On Sunday 3 September with four sessions happening throughout the afternoon, join whisky specialist Ross Blainey for the Grande Father’s Day Masterclass as he takes you through some seriously top-shelf whisky, with a highball cocktail and charcuterie platter also included.
“There’s an undeniable and growing interest in whisky throughout Australia, so we want to bring a touch of the Glenfiddich distillery experience to Canberra. The Whisky Wanderer is the perfect accompaniment for our wonderful liquid, and in true Glenfiddich style, we wanted to do something with a difference,” says Ross Blainey of William Grant & Sons.
The team at Molly will also be hosting a range of Single Malt Masterclasses where guests will get the opportunity to taste 4-5 different Glenfiddich whiskies, enjoy a highball cocktail on arrival and even take home a bottle of Glenfiddich 14yr for those who choose the 8pm session.
