The Canberra Wine District’s inaugural Stomp Festival is back this month, celebrating the harvest of our beautiful cool climate wines over an entire weekend on 20-21 April.
Showcasing over 25+ wineries and producers with wine, food, entertainment, activities, demonstrations, special offers and more, who wouldn’t be up for celebrating when a surplus of food and wine is involved?
As the name suggests, grape stomping is a must-try part of the festival, inviting Canberrans to be apart of some of our wine district’s next releases. A unique and fun experience, this year stompers will be helping Lake George Winery, with a black dress code strongly encouraged. The winery will then host a long lunch for participants and a chance to sit back and sip on wines all afternoon after their efforts.
Other event highlights include a long lunch at The Truffle Farm with Mount Majura Winery, life drawing at Lerida Estate (with wines of course), a chocolate and wine tasting at Dionysus Winery, a winery tour followed by woodfired pizza and wine at Four Winds Vineyard, and a TBC event at Nick O’Leary Wines’ Heywood restaurant.
