Canberra’s temporary brutalist event space, The Vault, has announced its demolition date has been extended, meaning more innovative and unique events and experiences coming your way until December!

Joining The Vault’s final season will be a vibrant new program (curated by Dionysus, of course) of returning favourites from the winter season and a range of newly designed immersive experiences.

“It’s been a hot winter. Over 14,000 people have let loose in our warehouse since May. Luckily, we have the bunker a little while longer,” says Founder and Programmer at Dionysus, Dave Caffery.

The spring program will continue to draw international inspiration while remaining deeply rooted in Canberra’s cultural fabric, including a blend of performances, projections, immersive experiences, and the occasional nod to Fyshwick’s dirty secrets.

“We want The Vault to showcase the breathtaking and bold music, performance, and immersive experiences. As cultural producers, we see The Vault as a place to ignite curiosity, share stories, and most importantly to bring Canberrans together,” says Caffery.

Highlights include the return of SPACE TIME from 27 September to 13 October – A cosmic journey with a reimagined cinematic adventure showcasing breathtaking visuals from the latest telescopes, live space concerts, and astrophysics talks—perfect for the whole family. As well as Canberra Art Biennial – Cruel Optimism exhibition, running from 17 October to 1 November. Then in November, prepare for A Flirty Thirsty Halloween Party on Saturday 2 November, and celebrate the life of Leonard Cohen with a live band fronted by mellifluous Mikelangelo for Club Cohen on Friday 8 November. Followed by Escape Ferocity Presents: Township Rebellion on Saturday 16 November – a night of pure dance energy with a three-hour techno set that will have you moving until the early hours.

On Tuesday 3 December, don’t miss the MAMAs, celebrating the best in music and arts. And, for the season finisher, The Vault will host Midnight at The Vault on Tuesday 31 December, a massive end-of-year party that will be the only place you’ll want to be at midnight.

To celebrate the end-of-year festivities, The Vault will also be available for Christmas parties, exclusive gatherings, and corporate launches, with the ability to create a bespoke experience.
