You may know One22 for its late-night musically led atmosphere, known for an epic late night disco with a retro style fit out. But, did you know from 5pm Thursday to Saturday they are open for afternoon drinks and food within of the most comfortable gathering spots in Canberra’s iconic Sydney building?
Since its launch in December One22 has been shaping Canberra’s late-night scene which desperately needed attention. Now the crew are here to change the way you move through the afternoon and into the evening.
Curating the mood through a combination of state-of-the-art lighting, comfortable mid-century furniture, and one of Canberra’s most refined and exciting music programs the space invites you to join them for arvo drinks where you can set yourself up in a comfy lounge chair and relax to the tunes.
This week One22 is launching their new food + wine menus aimed at afternoon aperitif and the after-work drink crowd. With such beautiful afternoon light shining through the famous arch windows of the Sydney Building, it’s the perfect place to have vino and snack before going home from work or meeting spot before the place you go to dinner. 5-7pm will also feature happy hour with food and drink specials all week with a DJ and live music from 6pm.
The new food and wine list features a simple, European inspired snack menu that packs a real flavour punch using quality ingredients from ethically sourced local producers. The wine list has been specifically curated to target low intervention, Australian natural wines that are super yummy, but leave you with less of a sore head the day after. Favourites from the menu include the Bresola plate w/ Pipparas & Olive Oil and Pancetta, Pecorino, and Honey Bites, perfect for a summers afternoon.
Their online booking system is now open for the earlier hours of trade which allows you to book in advance and save a table for the busier periods. Don’t let the night end before stopping into One22, they have an intimate space for all.
