Holly Throsby will perform at our outdoor amphitheatre, by the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, on Saturday 20 February 2010. If it rains, the performance will be held in the Museum’s Hall.

Holly will be accompanied by her long-time band, The Hello Tigers, Bree van Reyk and Jens Birchall.

The performance will be supported by local Canberra band, The Cashews and will coincide with the Water: H2O=Life exhibition.

Since Holly’s debut album On Night (2004), the ARIA nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist has toured Australia and internationally, recording most of her 2008 release A Loud Call in Nashville with guest performers including Bonny ‘Prince’ Billy and members of Lambchop and Silver Jews.

Her lyrics and voice have been described as intimate, intriguing, outstanding, fragile and poetic. Apart from music she is interested in 20th century literature, political intrigue, humour, small towns and dogs.
