Make, Believe is Canberra’s first exhibition to merge fashion design, mixed media and animation, and wrap it up into a pretty little package designed to delight and enchant.
The creative genius of crafty duo Amelia Thompson (of local fashion label, Grazed Youth) and Anna Madeleine, Make, Believe explores ideas of growing up and being lost in an unknown world, and conceptually draws parallels of their experiences to those encountered by the heroines of classic fairytales.
“Make, Believe looks at the notion behind the games we play as children and the role that they play in us now,” Amelia said.
The exhibition will officially open at 6pm Friday 16 April and will treat guests to a fashion parade and live music.
