Holly Throsby By The Water

Holly Throsby will perform at our outdoor amphitheatre, by the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, on Saturday 20 February 2010. If it rains, the performance will be held in the Museum’s Hall.

Holly will be accompanied by her long-time band, The Hello Tigers, Bree van Reyk and Jens Birchall.

The performance will be supported by local Canberra band, The Cashews and will coincide with the Water: H2O=Life exhibition.

The best of Latin American cinema returns to Canberra

From March 1 – 5, 2010, Canberra’s Latin American Embassies, in collaboration with the National Museum of Australia will present the ‘6th Latin American Film Festival in Australia’ (LAFF).

Entry to all LAFF films will be free of charge and there will be 2 films per day, at 6pm and 8pm.

LAFF will present a selection of the best films from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cube, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The chosen films include international award winning pieces from recent releases in Latin American cinema.
