New friends on the Block

After 3 years of solid summer kickin’, Block Party returns to the Trinity Carpark in ’09.

One of Canberra’s favourite and most unusual events, Block Party lands Saturday 10 January with one of its most diverse and fresh line ups to date.

In traditional Block Party style, the truck stage has returned in all its glory to the Trinity car park, with punters praising the truck from the ‘would be’ road.

This intimate event will again maintain its limited capacity and focus on diverse and live music.

Notions CIT Graduating Parade

11 designers, 3 years of hard work, 465 guests. Notions Fashion Parade marked the end of study for Canberra’s latest graduates of the Bachelor of Design ‘Fashion.’ It also marked something new, with each designer showcasing their fresh collections, design statements and labels.

The night saw a return to a more subdued colour palette with charcoals, whites, mochas and soft gold’s a popular theme. This was with the exception of Tegan Kennedy’s label Beau & Arrow who chose to stand out with fluoro watermelon tartan and metallic lime and silver contrasts.
