Well yes you could, and last Saturday, Trackside gave us more! With Cut Copy, Gyrascope, The Panics, Bliss N Esso, British India, Something with Numbers, The Getaway Plan, Carpathian, headlining rockers The Living End and a juicy line up of MORE!

If you’re into the local live music scene, then Georgefest is where you want to spend your Saturday afternoon.

The summer music festival is being held in the grassy amphitheatre of The George, on Saturday 6th December, and will feature some of Canberra and Sydney’s finest talent.

Now in its second year, the event has had a name change and the outdoor stage is being set for a great night of fun, fresh air and funky music…and it’s all free!

The launch of Movember has sparked awkward upper lip fuzz on mo-bros around the country, from flamboyant boonie styled, to well kempt wannabes.

But it’s not just all fun and fuzz. The month-long event raises money for prostate cancer research and depression, aiming to increase awareness and change attitudes towards male health issues.

It wasn’t just the race that stopped the nation, it was also a work free day for Canberrans and an excuse to kick up your heels with Canberra’s finest at Thoroughbred Park!

The weather was blissful, the champagne was flowing and the bets were being placed as eager punters filled Thoroughbred Park to full capacity.

Myer Fashions on the Field was a highlight this year, with a sea of oversized and elaborate fascinators bopping above eye level, with shades of tangerine and canary yellow a massive hit.
