The RSPCA’s 12 Barks of Christmas Carols is back, and they’re looking for some talented pups to put on a show.
Casting for the show will be held at the RSPCA ACT shelter, at 12 Kirkpatrick Street Weston, from 9.30am on Saturday 18 November. Up to six gifted canines will be selected to perform in-between the human musical numbers at December’s big event. Selected acts will receive two free human tickets to the event, so you can come along and watch your dog wow the crowd.
The ’12 Barks of Christmas Carols’ will be held at Glebe Park on 3 December from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. All proceeds from this fantastic event go towards the care of animals in need at the RSPCA ACT shelter.
First introduced last year, the ’12 Barks of Christmas Carols’ was well-loved by attendees, drawing over 1000 people and 500 dogs to the festivities. Organisers are expecting crowds of over 1,500 humans and their furry friends at this year’s event, making it one of the biggest dog-friendly dates of the year!
There are prizes to be won at the Christmas Best Dressed Competition, so get festive with your outfit. Make sure to grab something delicious to eat or drink from one of the markets, and spoil your pooch with a gift from the RSPCA Retail Stall.
This year’s event will also include the Santa Paws Photo-Booth, food & retail stalls, The Pop Inn Wine Bar, a Giving Tree, Elsa and Anna’s Enchanted Zone, and Doggie Christmas activities for you and your four-legged pal. To pick up a ticket, click here. All dogs are free!
