On Friday the 9th of October, Academy nightclub in conjunction with Talent Central will play host to a never seen before dance event in Canberra.

EXPOSURE is set to showcase and expose the raw talent of up and coming choreographers and DJs from the local area. Exposure will be the ultimate professional platform to celebrate dance, music and choreography in a non-competitive environment.

An over 18’s event, EXPOSURE sets the scene for a new level of clubbing experience in Canberra. It will be a bi-annual event promising high energy and explosive entertainment. Celebrity dancers from Channel Ten’s smash hit, So You Think You Can Dance; Hilton Denis, BJ Rorke, Stephen Tannos, Sean Robinson and Khaly Ngeth will be our special guests for the first ever EXPOSURE.

Dancers will spend many weeks training and planning their showcase. There is an intense emphasis on freedom of movement, costume, make-up, and music. Performances at EXPOSURE will range from hip-hop and break dance to commercial jazz, lyrical and urban contemporary.

Julie Scheer director of Talent Central, a modelling and fashion events agency, found the need to create a new platform where emerging professional choreographers can express their talents without limitation in front of potential clients to increase their opportunity of entering the professional dance industry.

There will be EXPOSURE dance workshops on Saturday 10th October at Dance Central with exclusive choreographers from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Hilton Denis, BJ Rorke, Stephen Tannos, Sean Robinson and Khaly Ngeth and mind blowing local choreographers Sarah K and Tess McGuiness.
