Craft ACT members Estelle Briedis and Daniel Margules will be representing the ACT among the best and brightest craft and design from around Australia in the Front | Centre initiative at Denfair in Melbourne 20-22 June.
Front | Centre provides a unique opportunity for designers at the early stages of their career to present their commercially viable work to the design community and access a powerful business platform while mapping out a new frontier in Australian design.
Estelle Briedis is a Canberra-based surface designer and screen printer whose practice pinpoints the junction between architectural geometry and the decorative softness of wearable textiles (work pictured above).
Daniel Margules (Sparks & Dust) is a Canberra based designer specialising in handcrafted furniture, turning steel and timber into contemporary design. Having a background in the trades, he has developed skills in welding and carpentry to become a self-taught furniture maker with a growing passion for design (work pictured to the right).
