You can’t buy happiness but you can certainly buy beer. Everyone’s favourite excuse to wear extra AF clothing with over the top size beer glasses is back. Oktoberfest! The festivity traditionally celebrated throughout Germany has hit the shores of ACT for its second time.
Last year the festival was full to the stein brim out with four thousand people at the parliamentary triangle, turned Bavaria for the weekend. This year the celebrations will take place on Saturday 20 October down at Patrick White Lawns.
If endless amounts of beer and food wasn’t appealing enough to you, the event boasts a huge craft beer hall, oompah bands and the silent disco!
This year’s fest will see a huge line-up of bands, DJs and musicians to fuel that drunken dancing all night long. The experience is even more Oktoberfest-esque with traditional German anthems, roaming entertainers and rides! Make sure to bring your A game to participate in best dressed and stein holding competitions.
