The Kells brothers charged into the Canberra dining industry with the launch of the ever successful Flint Dining Room, and now they’re spicing up the experience with their famous wine dinners.

Next Wednesday, 22 April will see the second Chalkers Wine Dinner at Flint, with the focus on recreating a selection of classic dishes by famous chefs.

“We have my version of Tetsuyas confit of ocean trout, we have the Classic pork belly with scallops from Peter Gilmore at Quay and Gordon Ramsey’s Duo of lamb,” Grant Kells said.

Grant has eaten and enjoyed these dishes and they’ll be recreated especially for this event, using the Kells own signature style.

“Each wine dinner is themed. Our last one was a collection of classic French dishes like tarte flambee and poulet aux Chablis.”

Chalkers Crossing Head Winemaker, Celine Rousseau, will be the official guest and will speak in detail about each wine and grape varietals.

“Celine is the one that goes through every detail of the wine making process, from picking the grapes to blending and even the label. She is best suited for the clientele to have a truly exceptional evening of good wine and food -and maybe even learn a thing or two as well.”
