Activating our city with great gift ideas, exclusive offers and free entertainment, Festive Finds in the City has begun! Spreading holiday cheer and supporting local businesses.
Making the City Centre and Braddon the number one destination this Christmas, Festive Finds has curated an online Gift Guide catalogue full of products and services from local businesses to simplify your Christmas shopping.
Then, from December 1st, the festive programming will ramp up with free merry-go-round rides, Christmas decorations and displays, and activities.
From Garema Place to the Canberra Times fountain, City Walk will become a magical ‘Christmas Walk’ including a 16-metre Christmas tree with new decorations and a snow globe and wishing tree. On Saturday 7 December, there will also be a free family-friendly City Christmas Party featuring live music, kids’ workshops, party games, and food and drink from favourites in the area, including Central Social Club and Azima.
For the month, there will also be a range of Cracking Offers around the city with festive deals to enjoy as you’re doing your Christmas shopping.

The Festive Finds website features an array of amazing products, services, and experiences from businesses in the City Centre and Braddon alongside free activities to keep the whole family entertained,” says City Renewal Authority Acting Executive Group Manager and Enabling Operations, Jennifer Ramsay.
“The lead up to Christmas is a crucial time for many small businesses. Shopping locally is an important part of boosting our economy and provides a great opportunity for Canberrans to support each other,” she says.
