First Edition is attempting to break a Guinness World Record! With 2000 distilleries across the country taking part, their goal is to have 2000 people simultaneously sipping on some of the finest Aussie Gin.
To achieve this ambitious target First Edition Canberra has partnered with Gintonica as Canberra’s host venue for the largest Gin Tasting Event ever. Guests will indulge in a unique Gin tasting experience by Canberra’s very own Philip Jones aka The Martini Whisperer, one of Australia’s leading craft spirits educators, advocates and awards judges. Philip with be MC for the event, showcasing a selection of Australian Gins including their very own First Edition Signature Gin distilled by The Canberra Distillery.
“It’s all about re-connecting gin lovers with Aussie gin distilleries and bars across the country. A bit of a re-group after what has been a challenging year for all,” said Gintonica’ s David Box. “The added bonus is we plan to ignite our very own Gin Ashes and knock the current world record holders – the Poms – off their perch!”.
Help celebrate this Guinness World Records attempt by making an afternoon and evening of it! First Edition has crafted a Gin inspired feasting menu available for dinner (not included in ticket price).
Tickets are $75 per person and include a curated tasting of three local Gins, commemorative Spanish style ‘Çopa de Balon’ gin glass, an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ certificate of participate, special offers and discounts from your favourite gin brands.
