Just a short drive from Canberra, Murrumbateman’s wine region has officially welcomed a welcome new addition — Shaw Estate’s highly anticipated restaurant is now open, and it’s every bit the Mediterranean daydream we hoped for.

Rooted in Italian tradition but elevated with a modern, seasonal twist, the menu is all about simple luxuries—think handmade pasta, wood-fired seafood, and rustic shared plates designed to be passed around with a glass of wine (or two) in hand. The vibe? Refined yet relaxed, with warm interiors that echo the generosity and spirit of Mediterranean dining.

The wine list showcases the best of Shaw Wines alongside standout drops from across Australia and the world, curated to match the menu’s bold yet balanced flavours.

To celebrate the opening, guests will receive a complimentary cocktail—your pick between a St Germain Shaw Prosecco Spritz or a New York Sour—until Thursday 17 April. It’s the perfect excuse for a long lunch in wine country.
