Canberra winter is officially getting the boot, which means we are less than a month away from Floriade! Whether you’re a yearly veteran, or a first-timer visiting from out of town, feel the Canberra spirit blossom from September 16th till October 15th. Returning to Commonwealth Park, this year’s theme is Floral Wonderland, and we’ve got a sneak peek at what’s in store.

Meet Jamie Durie

International award-winning designer and environmentalist, Jamie Durie, will be appearing on Stage 88 on Sunday 17 September to share his insightful tips on all things gardens, design and sustainability. Jamie will also be available to answer any questions during meet and greet sessions in the Floriade Wonderland Spiegeltent. Tickets are free! Get all the info here.

Kids Entertainment

There’s no shortage of entertainment for the little ones this year at Floriade. During the school holidays, get crafty with the kids potting up workshops, or catch the classic stories of Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinker Bell and more at Circus Wonderland: A Neverland Adventure from September 23 to October 8. NightFest

From September 28 to October 1, stay behind and discover Floriade’s dark side at NightFest. Enjoy live performances from iconic duo Vika & Linda along with other local artists. Or leave the kiddies at home and come watch the adult-only, Popcorn Underground cabaret. Don’t miss out…get your tickets here!

Floriade is expanding

Floriade has announced it’s growing! Explore their Satellite Site debut at Lanyon Homestead and check out the garden display at the beautiful heritage landscape, as well as entertainment and activities, just south of Canberra. Get all the info here.

Find Floyd’s Family and win!

While Floriade is quickly approaching, Floyd (Floriade’s iconic mascot) has lost his family! Using clues from Floriade’s Facebook and Instagram, help Floyd find all 36 members of his family, who are hiding across Canberra. If you spot someone, scan the QR code for a chance to win some amazing prizes. If you manage to find all 36, you’ll enter the draw for the Grand Prize Draw. Good luck searching!
