Braids are BIG this season and featured throughout Miu Miu and Alexander Wang’s runway looks this Paris Fashion Week.
We chat to Head Stylist, Alica of TG’s Hair Studio, Canberra City and find out how you can get those loose, sexy braids at home.
How do we start?
Start with wet hair and spray a texture spray throughout, like ‘Mister Fantastic’ by EVO. Mister Fantastic can be purchased on its own or in a pack with hair bungees.
I’m all prepped, now what?
Loosely pull wet hair back into a ponytail, fasten with the Mister Fantastic ‘hair bungee’. Loosely plait the ponytail, depending on the texture desired, and twist into a bun, keeping the bun in place with a second hair bungee.
My hair has dried like this, what’s next?
Once dried, release the hair from the bungees to have a wavy and textured look ready to style. Sweep hair off the side loosely braiding according to the look you wish to achieve.
And to finish?
Fasten at the end with either a hair tie or bungee, once secure finish style with a light even spray ‘Helmut Hairspray’ by EVO.
