For one day let’s shift our attention away from crisis news and focus on something to ease the stress – cocktails! Hundreds of bars across Australia have registered to be a part of the Shaken Not Broken initiative, to deliver contactless cocktails to their customers, which has just launched. This means even though we feel miles apart from our favourite mixologists we still have access to cocktails made with more love than we could do at home!
The movement was started by Campari to keep the hospitality industry pouring drinks and staying connected during COVID-19. In Canberra High Jinks and The Howling Moon have jumped on board. High Jinks owner Noriel Calub is in for the long hall with his Campari. Locals can expect barrel aged Negroni’s which take 4-5 weeks ageing in a 5L oak barrel to get the taste mild and mellow.
The initiative was supported through the donation of Negroni and Bourbon cocktail kits that were delivered to venues across Australia to make stirring cocktails in this tough time for the industry a little easier. Cocktails will be served in glass bottles for easy transportation, with personalised swing tags straight from your favourite bar, made with love.
