Goat Yoga is coming to Canberra as part of Taste of Braddon on November 11.
With thousands of people showing interest on social media and the concept gaining national coverage, it’s safe to say Goat Yoga is going to be a hit in Canberra. The team from Goat Yoga Canberra will be holding two sessions at Taste of Braddon – can you imagine the Snapchats of stretching into a downward dog with a goat? You need to see this! The unique fitness event has sessions that run for 45 minutes, please bring your yoga mat, a water bottle and comfy clothing that may get nibbled on! Info here.
Taste of Braddon is the hip suburb’s way of kicking off the silly season. The festival is not just about getting some much-needed wine tasting done but also about celebrating the culture of Braddon. Once the home of car dealerships, Braddon is now a premium Canberra destination where the hipster culture flourishes. But don’t worry, you don’t have to grow your beard for this one!
Reward yourself with one of Braddon’s fine local beverages at the festival. The District Food and Wine Frolic has already gathered 15 local wineries to feature at the event, as well as two local spirit producers, including the much loved BentSpoke Brewing Co. located just around the corner from where the event is being held.
The Food Truck will have us all lining up for nosh from Braddon’s finest restaurants, and in a Canberra first, Via Dolce will be serving gelato from a stretch limousine.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true representation of Braddon without hearing from some of their finest resident bands and DJs. Enjoy live music as well as entertainment from MCs: Hit 104.7 radio personality Bethany Larsen (hi, that’s me!) and Braddon developer Nik Bulum.
It’s safe to say that this is going to be a must-go-to event as we celebrate the incredible culture of Braddon.
In the City Canberra has already brought some top events to the city this year, including the Multicultural Festival and the World Curry Festival. But Taste of Braddon is sure to be the highlight.
Taste of Braddon will run in Haig Park from Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 November 2017, celebrating absolutely everything that circulates in and around beloved Lonsdale Street.
