Northern Beaches four-piece indie-rock outfit Dear Seattle are taking to the stage to tour their knockout new single Way Out. The gig kicks off at 8pm at the UC Hub, with support from Sydney sister duo CLEWS. The single delves into themes like co-dependency and resentment in relationships that miss honesty and communication and can be described as crunchy and memorable Indie Rock with a hint of grunge. Award-winning Australian singer songwriter Emily Barker is bringing the sounds of her new album to Smiths Alternative from 7pm-9pm. With three albums under her belt, her latest album A Dark Murmuration of Words was released in September last year. The album showcases her clear, expressive vocals and warm acoustic aesthetic. With sounds that reflect influences like Laura Marling and Phoebe Bridgers, Barkers’ music discusses contemporary themes and allows her to express herself through bold and skilful song writing.
