Midnight Hotel’s November edition of Meet the Maker has been proudly unveiled, in collaboration with world-renowned Canberra artist, Tommy Balogh.
For the entire month of November, an exhibition of Balogh’s work will be featured throughout the hotel’s lobby. Known for his large-scale, immersive art installations and collaborations with global entrepreneurs and cultural institutions, his work combines technology, light and abstract expression.
A graduate of ANU, Balogh has been featured in numerous exhibitions and public performances, with partners like VIVID International, Artoze Dubai, IDX China, LIFX, Questacon, Ovolo Hotel, and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra.
“For me, art is about opening the floodgates of imagination and creation through the moments of the unexpected and unknown. The interaction of organic art with light unlocks 5D experiences, where space and time collapse, where boundless potentials exist and can be accessed by anyone,” says Balogh.
An initiative dedicated to showcasing the artwork, craftsmanship, and culinary delights of Australian artisans, Midnight’s Meet the Maker series with Balogh marks their third instalment of the activation this year.
So vibrant and full of colour you can see his paintings from the street, the exhibition is free to view in the hotel until Saturday 30 November.
