Today I found myself in style heaven at the new Designer Op Shop Emporium. From vintage clothes to sparkling chandeliers, this store seems to have it all. Co-owner Taylor plays with tran-seasonal weather by wearing a Max Mara cable knit jumper and a vintage silk skirt all from her store.
“My style is always mixing vintage with modern and being comfortable in what I wear. I do love a good trend but I’m not dependent on wearing whatever everyone else is,” says Taylor.
“At work I sell fashion and interiors so I’m never afraid to look a little more overdressed because it’s what I love. Let’s just say I often get funny looks in the lift as I leave my apartment for work!”
When it comes to her style icons, Taylor can’t help but stay true to her love of new and old fashion.
“My style icons are Olivia Palermo for her effortless yet always polished style. If I could have anyone’s wardrobe it would be hers! Secondly I would say Iris Apfel. She is a 96-year-old who through many eras has never been afraid of breaking the ‘rules’.”
