Local initiative, No Biggie has become become an OzHarvest Canberra Community Partner to provide meals each week that have been cooked via the No Biggie venue network for the Canberra Relief Network.
The Canberra Relief Network is a collaboration of community service organisations in the ACT supported by the ACT Government in response to the sudden and overwhelming demand for food and non-perishable household essentials item that is occurring and is expected to increase as a direct result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The hard-working team have been sending out essential packs with basics like pasta, peanut butter and of course toilet rolls to people unable to source it themselves since the crisis hit our community.
From this week ongoing, No Biggie Meals – who started in support for the hospitality industry – will spread its kindness to the Territory’s most vulnerable providing ready-to-eat, healthy meals for those in need.
No Biggie was built on the foundation of knowledge that our local community desperately want to support local. The meals made it simple for the community to directly make an impact while receiving a week’s worth of food in return for their support. The latest evolution from No Biggie is ‘Gift Meals.’ In addition to supporting your local venues through No Biggie, individuals can now directly purchase meals on the No Biggie site to be distributed to someone in need via the Canberra Relief Network.
It’s the No Biggie circle of trust. This means supporters can now show their love for Canberra’s most vulnerable whilst helping keep people employed in hospitality and feeding their families nutritious meals.
