The 13th National Multicultural Festival is set to have Canberra in a shimmy on 6 – 15th February. Jam packed with lively cultural events and lots of dancing, the Festival showcases a vast assortment of cultures working together in unity, harmony and goodwill.

This year plays host to an impressive assortment of events, including the famous Food and Dance Spectacular, Drums under the African Sky, Lantern Workshops, World Film Festival and more – set to have you truly engaged and immersed in multiculturalism.

John Hargreaves MLA ACT Minister for Multicultural Affairs invites Canberrans to attend the festival.

“The Festival is the embodiment of the sort of spirit that the people of Canberra have, including respect for cultures and languages, a thirst for learning about traditions and most of all being creative and having fun,” Minister Hargreaves said.

“The 2009 National Multicultural Festival will feature theatre, music, comedy, film, exhibitions, food, dance and other activities showcasing the many cultures that enrich our community.”
