Held on Friday 8 to Sunday 10 March, the must-see event of the weekend will be the Savour Market Day on Saturday. A free event, wander through the stalls trying local foods and hearing live music from a diverse range of local artisans and artists. From delectable honey, artisanal schnapps and exquisite chocolate to freshly baked bread and farm-fresh vegetables, while there will be an abundance to taste on the day, you’ll likely be packing the car with plenty to go home.
In between the market day, there will be a number of events and masterclasses for those who are food curious. On Friday night, kick off the weekend with a cocktail evening with Wildbrumby Distillery. Then alongside the market on Saturday, choose from six interactive masterclasses including pasta making and creating floral table centrepieces. Later that evening, a local chef from Jindabyne’s Birchwood Café will be joining the resort restaurant for a five-course Mediterranean dinner alongside wines from Shut The Gate in Berridale. Harnessing all the beautiful flavours presented throughout the day into one spectacular meal, it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Finally, wrap up the weekend’s festivities with a Sunday foraging and lakeside grazing picnic with The Wild Gardener, sampling flavours such as Elderflower Vinegar and Elderberry venison sausage.
