The 2020 Aus Day concert by the lake will be a day-time fundraising concert in place of the annual firework show on Sunday 26 January. This year will be all about uniting to raise money for our neighbours impacted by the bushfires.
From 9am the public are invited to watch the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony at Rond Terrace, before heading over to Stage88 between 10am and 1pm to see singer Nicole Millar and indie-pop musicians Japanese Wallpaper supported by local act Monica Moore.
There will be a number of charities assisting in bushfire relief to donate to, including people who have lost their homes, those who offer mental health support and wildlife and fauna.
Throughout the morning, guests can make the most of a day outdoors with live music, amusement rides and Canberra’s favourite food trucks. Pack a picnic rug and settle in for a relaxed morning over the long weekend period.
Don’t miss the opportunity to acknowledge the many Aussies who are protecting our country over this tragic season.
