Asian-inspired hawker hall, Tiger Lane will see Canberra’s first collection of modern Asian food dining experiences all under one roof. Located in the Canberra Centre, Tiger Lane will feature 12 dining outlets and bars split into different sections reflective of their cuisine and country of origin. From Japan, South Korea, Southern China, Northern China and Southeast Asia, the foodie hall will feature everything from high-end dining experiences to fun, lively street food.

Kickstarting its launch is Japanese restaurant Taki. Led by former Sake chef Shaun Presland, the restaurant will feature a focus on elevated hotpots and Yakiniku cooked over charcoals, with local and important wagyu – all complemented by a contemporary Japanese a la carte menu.

“We’re so thrilled to finally open the doors to one of the most exciting food experiences in Australia. Tiger Lane will up the ante of the food scene in Canberra, with unique and notable venues at every corner, the diverse offering is sure to have something for everybody,” says Presland.

“The hospitality industry in Canberra has been thriving and Tiger Lane will sit proudly amongst Canberra’s discerning and growing list of incredible restaurants and food venues,” says General Manager of Canberra Centre, Gary Stewart.

Divided into three spaces, Taki will feature a topographic tatami to the left, a kitchen surrounded by fresh produce in the centre, and to the right, the main dining room. All showcasing interiors inspired by the Japanese film ‘Spirited Away.’

Opening on Monday 21 November, Taki is now taking bookings via https://www.tigerlane.com.au/
