Get your puffer jackets and beanies ready because one of Canberra’s most iconic street-food events is back this winter. After a long hiatus, The Forage is returning to Dairy Road for a Winter Solstice event on Saturday 24 June 20 from 12pm – 7pm.

Offering up a stellar line-up of local food, The Forage will feature up to 40 local food and beverage vendors, including crowd favourites Miss Vans, Temporada, Lolo and Lola and Dada Restaurant.

The free event will also feature a packed program of local music artists, a giant bonfire and roaming entertainment.

Founder Belinda Neame said she’s looking forward to this year’s event as it’s extra special. “Not being able to support our vendors and the broader Canberra community through The Forage, has been devastating, especially at such a difficult time,” she said. “We are engaging more with our vendors, working closely with our supporting partners to create new activations, launching exclusive products and adding more to the event program than ever before.”

Adding to the festivities, an exclusive new beer collaboration by Bentspoke Brewing Co, The Forage and Miss Vans Restaurant will be launched. “The Vietnamese-inspired pale ale is fragrant, malty, earthy, spicy and damn drinkable! It represents everything The Forage has been built on—local, collaboration, quality and community.”

Director of Molonglo Group, Johnathan Efkarpidis, is also excited to welcome The Forage back to Dairy Road. “Over the past few years, Dairy Road has become home to a number of local food and beverage producers. It’s wonderful to come together to celebrate the best of local food at Dairy Road with The Forage and we will especially be looking forward to bringing back the giant Solstice bonfire,” he said.

Stay tuned for even more delish news, including the launch of the new Forage app designed to bring your experience to a whole new level.
