The historic Queanbeyan Bowls Club has been given a charming new look. Campbell & George is the product of the Queanbeyan Sports & Community Club, in partnership with the Vikings Group to bring locals an attractive new venue that carries the Bowlo’s character and history.
The club has been around since 1934 and is entrenched in local memories. To ensure its significance lives on the revamp is littered with artefacts from the former club, such as the lockers from the change rooms and the iconic archway entry. Further, the beer garden being named ‘The Paddock’ after the clubs predecessor, which was a former police horse paddock.
Onto the more contemporary upgrades, new features include a sports bar, Italian bistro and a large outdoor family green that can be hired for functions or barefoot bowls.
The club will be open Monday 2 December.
