On The Fashion Vault’s final shoot at New York Fashion Week, roaming photographer Deejay captured Monique.
Monique’s style exudes an understated elegance that draws on vintage items.
“I often raid my mother’s wardrobe for pieces to wear,” Monique says.
“The shorts I am wearing today used to be my mother’s. I like the idea that by wearing vintage items, I know I am setting myself apart from others.
“I also love thrift shopping – it’s a bit of a thrill. Some days you get lucky and pick up some unique items that fit perfectly, other times you go in and walk out empty handed, but i just love it.”
