The thumping of the amps, the hammering of drums and the beating hearts of the thousands…every year music festivals claim to be bigger and better than the last, but with Trackside this statement rang true. 3 stages, carnival rides, the addition of comedy acts, more alcohol stations and multicultural food – could you want more?
Well yes you could, and last Saturday, Trackside gave us more! With Cut Copy, Gyrascope, The Panics, Bliss N Esso, British India, Something with Numbers, The Getaway Plan, Carpathian, headlining rockers The Living End and a juicy line up of MORE!
The weekend’s persistent rain and occasional hail didn’t dampen enthusiasm as punters poured into Thoroughbred Park in the early hours of the day.
The outdoor stage saw The Getaway Plan ushered off by security, mid ‘If The Suspense Doesn’t Kill Us, Something Else Will,’ due to OH&S risks associated with the rain. But in true rocker form the young band jumped off stage into the audience to personally apologies and shake the hands of punters.
