Mt Stromlo Public Astronomy Night Online – Friday 21 August
Mount Stromlo Observatory and the Canberra Astronomical Society invite you to virtually attend their free observing night for National Science Week. Attendees will be taken through a ‘tour of the universe’ with astronomers from Mt Stromlo and see craters of the moon, planets, start clusters and nebulae, and also have time at the end to ask questions. Feel ft. Sippy @ Fiction – Friday 21 August
Australia’s most in demand bass artist Sippy is coming to Fiction Club for her first Covid save gig since lockdown. She will be performing for two sessions on Saturday night starting at 9pm, for groups of 3-5 at $20-25 each. Have a well-deserved night out with friends, with good drinks and tunes this weekend! Friday the 13th @ Palace Electric – Friday 21 August
In the mood for the fright of your life? On Friday night at 8:30pm Palace Electric Cinemas is screening the first instalment of the iconic horror franchise Friday the 13th. Now iso is over and they have partnered up with Assembly for a pop-up event on Sunday from 5pm. Assembly is taking walk-ins and bookings but there is limited seating. Paint and Pinot – Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August
Quickly becoming a popular girls night destination, Paint and Pinot in Braddon lets you delve deep into your creative mind while sipping on good wine with friends. Classes are available every week, but this weekend choose between painting a pegasus, calf or man. Tickets are $60 each and include all the materials needed to create your artwork.
