Marketplace Gungahlin has been busy making sure this year’s festive season in-centre will be the best one yet! While you can of course get your yearly Santa snap, the Centre will also have a huge range of free activities and exciting entertainment happening from the last weekend of November right up until Christmas Day! Ensuring your kids have a magical Christmas, there are plenty of ways to get them excited about having to drag them around for your annual Christmas shopping.
Santa Photos & Breakfast – 2,9 & 16 December
Say your first hello of the season to Saint Nick with a Santa photo and breakfast. Located outside BIG W, take your special photo with Santa on your own device and have five minutes with Santa’s little helpers to ensure you get the perfect snap! Then, join in a fun-filled morning of Christmas festivities and an even better breakfast alongside Santa! Bookings are required.
Santa’s Arrival Parade – 25 November
Don’t miss Santa Claus’ official arrival to the Marketplace with a festive parade! Commencing outside Grease Monkey, join them for a spectacular event filled with music, joy, and holiday spirit! Plus, PLAY Dance Agency will also be finishing off the parade with a festive performance on Level 1 near MarketQuest.
Christmas Workshops – 27 November to 21 December
Create magic at the Marketplace’s free Christmas Workshops. Join them outside BIG W and let your artistic side shine as you create snow globes, design your own Christmas wrapping paper, create DIY Santa sacks, Santa keys, and craft delightful lolly wreaths. Bookings are required.
Christmas Roaming Entertainment – 26 November and 3,10 & 17 December
Santa’s not the only one you’ll spot at the Marketplace this festive season. Helping him spread Christmas cheer, Santa’s friends will be roaming around the centre handing out free goodies!
Free Festive Kids Face Painting – 25 & 26 November and 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 & 17 December
Transform into your favourite character or add a bit of sparkle and Christmas cheer to your cheeks with complimentary face painting. Located outside MarketQuest on Level 1, whether it be a fairy, lion, bunny or something festive, look as cute as a button for the entire day!
Community Gift Wrapping – 16-24 December
Local charities are taking the hassle out of gift wrapping this holiday season with a Community Gift Wrapping station. Located near Kmart, get all your Xmas presents decorated in the perfect festive wrapping all in one go for a gold coin donation!
Spend and WIN: 12 Days of Christmas – 25 November to 24 December
‘Tis the season of giving, and Marketplace Gungahlin wants to make your Christmas even more special.
